This reminds me of Eurydice and Orpheus (ancient poet). I think I was taught in college (long time ago, I might be wrong) that their tale suggested the idea/the Greeks believed that you could be live forever through poetry/art. Leaving your mark on the world I guess. Anyway. I love these lines! Deceptively simple but powerful.
