You know how the stars we see at night

Have died and their light has been travelling ever since

And that’s why we only see it now?

Well, that’s why I don’t look up at the night sky anymore

Because I feel like each star we see is a person we used to know

And I can’t come to terms with the fact that the person I’m meant to spend the rest of my life with

Might be one of those stars I only see at night

Through sleep deprived eyes and tears
