The other day
I talked to God
I asked to see his blackout poetry
So he gave me sheets of paper
Not newspapers or texts
But birth certificates
And a list of characteristics for each
He told me to keep the one’s I liked
So I did
I gathered them together
And wrapped them in a red ribbon
That’s when I looked up and saw her
Standing in front of me
Wrapped in a red dress
I loved this, thank you so much, it made my day
You’re most welcome. I hope it happens again.
Thought-provoking. I was drawn to two contradictory thoughts as I read: the amazing strength and your passion for poetry.
