The black asphalt is painted darker with rain. Light reflects off of it, creating little puddles. You try to keep your eyes on the road, but your mind is clouded with colors. You feel like there is a hidden layer between yourself and the ground. Your limbs feel hollow, your eyes and head grow heavy, and then everything disappears. You’re laying there, staring up at the night sky. It’s as if the scene has been flipped. The stars look like little puddles of light that are spread across the black sky. The fallen rain surrounds you. It embraces your body, pulling you closer. You lie there. Others search for colors, while you feel at home amongst the grey clouds. It’s days like this that brighten our lives. Always.
